The Spot Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan

Council is responsible for providing the community with safe, convenient and connected pedestrian routes. As part of this commitment, we have prepared a Draft Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP) for "The Spot", specifically the area centred around the intersection of Perouse Road and St Pauls Street Randwick.

In November last year, the community were invited to complete an online survey to share their experience walking in the area; how they interact with the roads and footpaths and what improvements they would like to see. Over 200 surveys were completed online and the results were used to inform the draft report that is now on public exhibition.

The draft report recommends a number of upgrades to existing infrastructure, including additional pedestrian crossings, new footpath connections, a 40 km/h High Pedestrian Activity Area and shared zones.

We encourage your to view the draft report and tell us what you think about the recommendations; do you think they will improve walking around The Spot?

The consultation closes on 22 May at 9am.
