    Randwick City Council has received a request from Claremont College to close part of Judge Lane, Randwick, 8am to 4pm on school days only. We want to know what you think about this proposal.

    Entries for the Architecture and Urban Design Awards are now open. The Awards recognise excellence and inspire good architectural, landscape and urban design. The awards promote community awareness and acknowledge the designers involved in enhancing Randwick City’s built environment.
    Submissions close 25 August 2017.

  • Light rail parking recovery
    Find out more about Council's plan to increase parking in streets near the light rail route. Information on parking changes will be available progressively as light rail work commences.

  • Tell us what bike routes we should build

    For the last few years we have built bike routes in accordance with our endorsed bike route construction priority list.(External link)However, with the imminent construction of the light rail project, we would like to review this priority list to ensure it reflects what the community wants. We expect the light rail will encourage people wanting to ride to the stops.

    As a first step, we've spoken with Bikeast and they have proposed a change in the construction priorities. We really appreciative their efforts in producing this list.

  • Pesticide Use Notification Plan

    Tell us what you think about Council’s revised Pesticide Use Notification Plan. The plan outlines Council’s notification process for pesticide use in public outdoor spaces owned or controlled by Council. It has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Pesticides Regulation 1995 and will update and supersede the existing 2006 Pesticides Use Notification Plan.

    Council ensures that pesticides are applied to public places in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Pesticide Act 1999 & Pesticides Regulation 2009.

    The plan is on public exhibition from 28 August 2015 to 29 September 2015, 5pm.

  • Mahon Pool amenities building

    This consultation has now closed.

    The existing building is reaching the end of its usable life, is inadequate, lacks disability access and is too close to the rock shelf and cliff for safety. Council has decided to demolish the existing building and build new toilets and change rooms. When designing the new building, we needed to take account of the existing sewer pipe and the storm water drain.

    This new public building will serve Mahon Pool and the Coastal Walkway users, Swim Club members and visitors to the Reserve. Click here to find out more.

    Have your say on our new draft Section 94A Development Contributions Plan (s94A Plan) and draft DCP amendments

    The new draft s94A Plan 2015 is on public exhibition for community comment until Friday 13 February 2015. It gives details of proposed developer levies and the funding for new and ongoing capital works.

    To support the draft s94A Plan, Council also resolved to exhibit amendments to the Randwick Development Control Plan (draft DCP) to introduce new controls on the undergrounding of overhead power lines in Kingsford Town Centre and in other areas in Randwick City.

    Whether you’ve lived in Randwick City for 20 years, study at uni or volunteer at the hospital - we want to hear from you! You don’t need to be extraordinary - you just need to love living in Randwick City.

    Randwick City Council is taking photos of Randwick City residents, workers and students between December 2014 and January 2015.

    A selection committee will choose 151 portraits to print on giant 4m x 1.2m street banners to fly throughout Randwick City as part of Harmony Day in March and April 2015.

    Register your interest to find out when and where to get your photo taken!
